Overview
A PBS documentary special, Hopes on the Horizon chronicles the
rise of pro-democracy movements in six African countries during
the 1990s, and presents a rich, realistic, and balanced picture of
the men and women who initiated, witnessed, and participated in
these tumultuous changes.
Approach
In partnership with the film producers, Invent Media developed a
funding proposal for outreach in Africa, provided extensive
editorial support in the development of the project’s educational
materials and series Web site for the U.S., and coordinated Hope’s
premiere event in Washington, D.C.
